While these photos are not from a trip I’ve taken, they are from my “backyard” at the northern tip of Manhattan. If you find yourself in NYC (or even if you just happen to live in NYC), I highly recommend taking a trip to Inwood (last stop on the A train heading Uptown) to stroll through Inwood Hill Park and grab a bite to eat at Indian Road Cafe. It’s definitely a hidden gem of the city.
El Matador
I’m spending this morning doing research for my 5 week SE Asia trip in December and January, and I discovered that with a continuing ticket and a 13 hour layover in Shanghai (visa-free transit FTW), I’ll have the chance to indulge in a proper Shanghai street food breakfast before heading back to NYC. I wish I could spend more time in Shanghai, of course, but better a good night’s sleep and breakfast than nothing.
Travel!
I’m headed to Los Angeles tomorrow morning for a long weekend to visit friends and eat awesome food and hopefully take some cool pictures. A much needed vacation after this semester.
No crazy international trips for me this summer, but actually, I’m really glad about that. Not sure I’d want to spend two months in a foreign country right now. Don’t get me wrong… it’s awesome, but also kind of exhausting to do that kind of travel.
